Project LEAP's mission is to maintain the superior education provided by the teachers and staff of Lee Elementary School in the Los Alamitos Unified School District. As a registered 501c (3), an all-volunteer, parent run charitable organization, we are proud that ALL proceeds from the LEAP to Excellence Auction, directly benefits the children attending Lee Elementary.
Due to the budget cuts at both the State and Federal levels, programs like music and computers, library skills, and countless others are being cut back and even eliminated at schools all over California. Lee parents found the proposed cut backs for their children's education unacceptable and looked for a way to make a difference. Important organizations like PTA existed, but were not designed for, nor allowed to fund teacher's salaries or on-going programs.
